Required Technical Equipment

Below are the minimum technical requirements you will need. You will only need a dialpad after you have completed your training and are ready to begin servicing clients.

Requirements may vary for some clients, so it’s always a good idea to view the ‘Opportunity Announcement’ of your selected client prior to purchasing any additional equipment.

Laptop or Desktop

You can use a Laptop or Desktop to service any clients. Minimum spec requirements include; Dual-Core CPU; 2.8GHz and 4GB’s of RAM; 60GB Hard Drive with Internet Connection. Internet connection must be hardwired.

Dialpad

Used to take calls redirected from your client. Compact and simple to use, these are required by all clients.. Must be connected to your POTS or VOIP via a cat3 cable. (Same as your home phone would be connected)

USB Headset

During your training and any coaching after training, you will need a USB Headset which plugs into your desktop or laptop via a USB port. Your USB Headset will only be used during your training and coaching sessions.

POTS or VOIP

Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) is the simple phone jack in your wall. VoIP (Home telephone connected through your modem) is becoming more and more common and is available from your internet provider.

Contact your phone company or internet provider.

Comfortable Workspace

One of the advantages to working from home is your ability to create your very own, unique and comfortable environment that both inspires and motivates you on a daily basis.

Our recommendation is to start slow, and add as you go. We’ve provided some tips and resources to get you started.

Workspace Tips

  • Assign a dedicated area or room as your workspace
  • Be open to buying used or second hand to keep costs down
  • Having a comfortable chair should be a priority
  • Ensure you have a desk or work area with enough space
  • File cabinet, printer, scanner (if necessary)
  • Don’t forget about supplies (note pads, pens, etc.)
  • Add plants and motivating pictures
  • Don’t forget to remove distractions from your view

Again, take your time and add as you go, and create the work environment of your dreams. You’re the boss!
